A little context

Engineer by day.
Curious after hours.

I’m Isaac. A husband, dad, and software engineer who likes making things and understanding how they work.

The hours in between

I’ve spent roughly a decade working professionally in software engineering. Outside work, my priorities are my family. The projects here happen in the available time after the day job and bedtime.

That’s where the name comes from. After Bedtime Labs is my personal workshop: a home for the software I build, the experiments I try, and the things I learn.

What draws me in

I’m interested in tools that make development more useful and enjoyable, from AI coding agents and local language models to desktop utilities and automation. I also like the different kind of problem solving that comes with building games.

Notes, with the rough edges left in

The goal is to document what actually works, what doesn’t, and what changes my understanding along the way. An unfinished experiment can still teach something useful. I want the writing here to reflect that.

If you’re here to get a sense of how I think and build, the projects and writing are a good place to start.
